Roughriders Release Rob Bagg, Bakari Grant and Chad Owens

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have released veteran wide receivers Rob Bagg, Bakari Grant, and Chad Owens, who didn’t make the team’s final cuts on Sunday.

“THANK YOU RIDER NATION,” Bagg tweeted. Grant, 30, added: “Thank you for one of the Most fun years of football Rider Nation! Every good thing must come to an end…#calilife.”

Owens is a former John Agro Trophy award, which is given to the top special-teams performer, winning the award back in 2010.

Grant is coming off a career-year in his first season with Saskatchewan in 2017, hauling in 84 passes for 1,033 yards.
