Riot Games has officially announced the promotion of Michael Sherman to Global Head of Esports for TeamFight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, as well as Riot’s upcoming fighting game title Project L, according to a post on LinkedIn.

Sherman has been with Riot Games since 2014, starting his career with the League of Legends collegiate program before moving to the LCS back in 2020 where he managed their marketing and communications.

“I’m extremely passionate about building esports alongside the community, and that will remain one of my top priorities moving into this new role,” Sherman said in a post on LinkedIn. “We don’t think that what we’ve done for games like League of Legends and VALORANT will apply here,” Sherman added.
