The Las Vegas Aces posted the largest regular-season single-game attendance the WNBA has seen since 1999, with 20,366 fans at the sold-out T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday when they took on the Indiana Fever and rookie sensation Caitlin Clark.
The Aces usually play their games in the Michelob ULTRA Arena, but moved this game to T-Mobile Arena, which is home of the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights due to the ticket demands to see the popular Clark play.
The Aces are also one of the leagues most popular teams and had become the first team in WNBA history to sell out every one of their regular season home games, but things amped up with Clark coming to town.
The most-attended game in the playoffs is when the Detroit Shock and Los Angeles Sparks met in a WNBA Finals game back in 2003 with 22,076 fans in attendance.
