Amazon Prime Potential Destination for WWE Monday Night RAW

As WWE continues to explore potential media deals for their flagship show Monday Night RAW a potential landing spot has emerged that has the media business world chatting as a major player has entered the running.

According to Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand, Amazon is considered to be likely to secure the rights to WWE Monday Night RAW, and such a move would place the long-running Monday night staple behind the paywall of Amazon’s wrestling streaming platform side.

Amazon Prime has been trying hard to target a young male audience and provide Prime Video with an additional night of premium live programming that will add to their existing lineup that includes NFL Thursday Night Football.

With the rise of streaming platforms and the decline of Cable Television, the move may be industry shifting, but also a sign of the times as the trend has continued over the last year with no signs of slowing down.
