The DP World Tour has officially suspended Englishman Marco Penge after a disciplinary panel found he placed bets on multiple golf events, according to an official announcement (h/t Reuters/ESPN).
Penge, 26, was found not to have bet on himself or during tournament days when he was competing which led the panel to come to the decision that the integrity of those, and such, events had not been compromised.
Penge was given a three-month ban that took effect December 13th, but one month has been suspended for a year pending further breaches of the tour’s integrity program. Penge was also fined £2,000 ($2,539).
Penge can make his return to DP World Tour participation starting on February 13th.
