Kick, Twitch Urge LeBron James to Stream on Their Platform

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has always been the top priority among all teams whenever he has hit free agency during his Hall of Fame career and while he is currently under contract with the Lakers, it appears there is another free agency bidding way brewing.

However, this one will not take place between NBA teams but instead among video game streaming platform Twitch and one of their most aggressive competitors in Kick.

James took to social media back on December 29th posting that he wanted to stream Madden but that he was unsure as to which platform he would do so on. Naturally, this sparked quite the response.

“Who should I stream with? Meaning which platform brand?” James posted.

The response led to a number of streamers and those from Kick urging James to come join them on the platform, with one Kick executive saying that should James “lock in” he would land on the front page of Kick and “love it” on the streaming platform.

Not to be outdone, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy jumped in to the conversation with his out pitch for James to join the Amazon owned streaming platform.

“I am a bit biased given that I run Twitch but Twitch is the best platform for engaging with your fans. You also could consider streaming on Twitch and YouTube at the same time” Clancy said.

Regardless of where James does end up streaming, gamer social media will certainly be chatting for some time to come.
