LinkedIn Aiming to Boost Networking Opportunities

LinkedIn is looking to boost opportunities to network on their platform and make it easier to manage your professional interactions on the platform by dividing it’s existing ‘Network’ tab into two new dedicated feeds.

The new ‘Grow’ feed is designed to highlight daily outreach opportunities and will also be incorporating new AI-powered message prompts designed to improve outreach efforts.

LinkedIn detailed these tabs, including an outline of ‘Catch Up’ via their official website.

“The “Catch Up” tab is focused on uncovering reasons to…well…catch up with your network” they wrote. “We built the new “Catch Up” tab because sometimes the best way to start networking is a simple “hello!” But a cold-start is more successful when there is a reason behind it. So, we’re helping uncover those reasons and share with you as you at the ideal moments.”

The Catch-Up listing will include updates from those within your network such as job/position updates, work anniversaries, birthdays, and more. These are already provided via your “Notifications”, but will now be more organized into an exclusive feed and will include more opportunities to reach out.
