The Australian Open has announced their seeding with defending champion Rafael Nadal named the top men’s seed amid the absence of world number one Carlos Alcaraz, who withdrew due to a hamstring injury, and Iga Swiatek was named the women’s top seed on Wednesday.
Nine-time winner Novak Djokovic seeded fourth ahead of Thursday’s draw for the Australian Open.
