Seattle Storm’s newest addition Skylar Diggins-Smith is ready to get back to work following her maternity leave and join the likes of Nneka Ogwumike and Jewell Loyd to form a new WNBA powerhouse.
“I had a gap year last year,” Diggins-Smith said, according to The Associated Press’ Doug Feinberg. “Lot of learning and information. Try to pay attention as much as you can to retain. Good to have that moment when you’re out here together and can get started.”
Diggins-Smith’s last season, prior to maternity leave, saw her post 19.7 points per game for the Phoenix Mercury and now she brings her talents to Seattle where she hopes that she can continue her success.
