Twitter’s Developing a New ‘Human’ Test In Effort to Combat Bots

In an effort to combat the ongoing issue of spam bots on the Twitter social platform and app, the company is reportedly developing a new process that would seemingly restrict users from utilizing certain elements of the app until they’re able to successfully prove that they’re actually human, and not a bot.

The human test will consist of a process of proof ‘by spending time engaging with your timeline and connecting with others’, and if you pass that metric than you will see improvement in tweet visibility and also full access to DM tools, according to app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi.

Bots have been a major issue on Twitter for years, and since the takeover by Elon Musk, thousands of spam accounts have been removed, but the issues still exist.
