YouTube Providing More Context on Policy Violations in New Updates

YouTube is set to roll out a two new developments as creators on the platform have expressed their frustrations regarding YouTube’s most recent policy update, with plans to roll out the next stage for its display of timestamps for Community Guidelines violations, according to the company.

Additionally, the platform is also rolling out a new ‘Guided Resolution Flow’ to address concerns.

YouTube is also developing a new guided resolution flow for violations and reports which the company hopes will provide their creators with more valuable information on the additional steps they can take in response to any concerns.

“We’ll show where the policy violation occurs, what precise policy was violated, and what that means for the individual piece of content” the company said. “And at the end of the guided resolution flow, we’ll show creators what options they have going forward and make it easy to take those next steps.”
